| Event Description |
This hike will be at a moderate pace. If there are enough people we may split into fast and slow groups if needed.
This will be about a 3 mile hike at Friedrich Wilderness Park that will take about an hour and 15 minutes. The terrain is not tremendously difficult overall, but there are several steep spots and some pretty good elevation changes for around here. Bring plenty of water and some good hiking shoes.
If you are not a current ACSA member but would like to meet some of us in an outdoor setting instead of a Meet & Greet, please come out and hike with us! Bring a friend or two if you''d like. It''s a much different atmosphere than the Meet & Greets, and the group size can range from 5 to 25 depending on the weather and what other events are scheduled. Afterwards, some of us will go somewhere nearby for lunch.
This is a kid-friendly event, but children should be old enough to complete the hike on their own. Dogs are not allowed at Friedrich Wilderness Park. |

| Directions: |
Friedrich Wilderness Park is on the NW side of town.
Take IH 10 West about a mile past Loop 1604. Take the Dominion Drive exit #552. Drive approximately 1.5 miles and take the turn-around under the Interstate, then take the second right turn on Milsa. Turn Left at the stop sign to stay on Milsa. Friedrich Park will be on your right about 100 yards down.
